Opposition Platform – For Life demands that UAH 6.5 billion are redirected from “big construction” to vaccination of citizens
MPs from Opposition Platform – For Life have registered the corresponding draft law with the parliament.
“We suggest that the funding in the amount of UAH 6.5 billion, provided for by the budget for the State Agency of Automobile Roads of Ukraine, is directed at vaccination of the population from acute respiratory disease COVID-19 caused by coronavirus SARS-COV-2,” the explanatory note says.
According to MP Nestor Shufrych, who has co-authored the draft law, the government plans to take this funding from the scarce budget allocated to healthcare, which is unacceptable. Moreover, the cumulative budget of Ukravtodor is more than the budget of the Ministry of Health.
“What is the distribution of internal financing within the framework of the healthcare system? This means that within the framework of the healthcare system someone else is deprived from money which is directed at the purchase of vaccines. Therefore, it is absolutely logical to take UAH 6.5 billion UAH from Ukravtodor and give this money to the healthcare system. We all know well how money is buried in asphalt through the “big construction”,” Nestor Shufrych said.
