Nataliia Korolevska at the Kyiv Global Summit: The role of women in achieving peace and building a successful state is decisive!
At the Kyiv Global Summit-2020, which took place on December 17 in Kyiv, opinion makers, foreign politicians, female MPs and public representatives discussed the challenges facing Ukraine, the strategy for success in the coming year, as well as the role of women in political and state processes. The meeting took place with the active participation and support of the “Women for Peace” National Platform.
“Today we are summing up the results of 2020, which has posed serious challenges both to the country and to each of us. We had to face an economic, political and coronavirus crisis. Similarly as in 2014, when women united, saving lives, evacuating children and the elderly from the war zone, so in 2020 we continue to help people suffering from the coronavirus pandemic, poverty and war,” MP Nataliia Korolevska said.
The MP stressed that next year women leaders of Ukraine will run global positive changes. These are women who hold public office, who won local elections, who lead social movements and shape a new, peaceful and human agenda.
“We have formed a colossal women’s lobby in all local councils and government bodies and have proven that together we are strong. That is why our meeting is called “power together” – strong together, because we know not in words but in deeds what it means to unite efforts, influence processes and achieve results. We must put aside ambitions and rankings to work together to help overcome the coronavirus pandemic, protect people and bring peace. The future of Ukraine is in women’s hands!” Nataliia Korolevska summed up.
