Co-chairs of Opposition Platform – For Life: We have to do everything possible to develop Ukrainian-Chinese relations
The co-chairs of OPPOSITION PLATFORM – FOR LIFE Yuriy Boyko and Vadym Rabinovych took part in the Summit of the Communist Party of China and world political parties on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Communist Party, which was held on July 6 via videoconference.
“That is very symbolic that it was the Chinese Communist Party that organized the discussion on the place and role of political parties in today’s volatile world. Openness to the exchange of views and experience convincingly testifies that the CPC is a reliable partner for responsible political forces from other countries”, Yuriy Boyko said.
The politician stressed that today the trade turnover between Ukraine and China amounts to USD 15 billion, meaning that Beijing is the second largest trade partner of Ukraine, whose market is constantly growing.
“We have tremendous prospects for increasing the presence of Ukrainian goods on the Chinese market, but the current Ukrainian government does not understand this, as failed cooperation projects with China have evidenced. Due to the ineffectiveness and carelessness of the authorities, our 40-million-strong country is missing the opportunity to develop its economy. It is unacceptable. We have to do everything possible to develop our relations”, Yuriy Boyko stressed.
Vadym Rabinovych emphasized the need to establish friendly relations with China.
“The pillar of our party is neutrality and trade with all our partners. The main thing is as follows: everything that is beneficial to Ukrainians should be bought cheaper and sold at a higher price. And if we close our shipyards and buy some decommissioned ships, then it’s bad. I think we will establish normal, friendly relations with China after we win the elections”, the MP noted.
The co-Chairs of OPPOSITION PLATFORM – FOR LIFE thanked the Chinese Communist Party, Secretary General Xi Jinping for the opportunity to convey the stance of the party to the international community.
“We are open to international dialogue. I do hope for the continuation and development of cooperation in this new, important and representative format”, Yuriy Boyko summed up.
