Vadym Rabinovych demands to check on the National Public Television and Radio Company of Ukraine because of the dismissal of an orphan boy in the national selection for Junior Eurovision

The Ukrainian MP, co-chair of the “Opposition Platform - For Life” faction Vadym Rabinovych addressed an MP appeal to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine.

The politician demands to check the actions of the management and staff of the National Public Television and Radio Company of Ukraine to cancel the competition application in the national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest for the orphaned schoolchild Maxym Tkachuk, as well as to provide opportunities for Maxym Tkachuk or his caretakers to protect his participation in the national selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest after being accused of violating the Regulations on National Selection.

The MP also demands, in the event of the law violation is investigated, to ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice as established by law and to take measures regarding the early termination of the contract with the Chair of the Board of the National Public Television and Radio Company of Ukraine Zurab Alasania.

As a reminder, on August 17, 2020, OJSC National Public Television and Radio Company of Ukraine canceled the competition application for a 12-year-old orphaned schoolchild Maxym Tkachuk, who was in the lead in online casting of applicants for participation in the national selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
